- You can easily get banned if you don’t follow the rules, so you will need to have a good understanding of their policies.
Remember, you will not become an expert in ads quickly, it takes a lot of time and you also need many skills to get decent at it.
Here are some skills that you need to have:
- A good understanding of the market, as it is always changing.
- How to manage your projects properly so you are up to date.
- An experienced background in copywriting.
- Understanding how digital marketing works.
- Your designing skills have to be high level as your ads need to stand out from the rest which means you will have to have a good amount of experience in creating appealing ads.

It has the same focus as Douglas James marketing, but the training is limited to only learning how to use Facebook and Google ads and you need more skills to have success in lead generation.
Finally we have Digital Storefront, in this program you will be taught by Cory Long who does have lots of experience up his sleeve, but he covers the same topics as Douglas James and these other similar programs, the problem is that he shares outdated tactics that are no longer as effective as they once used to be.
There isn’t much difference between all of these programs as they are pretty much covering the same skills.
There are far better options out there that teach you a whole range of other skills you need to find success in this business which also includes training on ads like these programs.
What’s My Personal Opinion On Douglas James Marketing?
After carefully looking into this course and taking everything into account. This is what I think.
Before you can even think of buying any course, there are a few things you should consider:
- How experienced is the guru?– Does he know what he’s talking about? How long has he been in the business for and does he have real practical experience in the business?
- Is the program reviewed well?– If you google “Douglas James training review”, it comes up with mixed reviews. One reviewer said the course was well informed where as If you care about the guru being transparent, earlier in the article there is a review of a user who said there were hidden costs and trickery involved in the process. It depends what side you lean towards, the positive or the negative?
- How is the quality of the program? – Does it give you valuable information or is it mostly repetitive information?
- Are you getting enough coaching time? – Does the course offer extra help or is there a community you can turn to when you need to ask questions and get some advice?
Would I Recommend The Douglas James Training?
Let’s start with the positives!
The strength of this course is that you are being trained by a guru with experience and according to this reviewer, they share how the course they took helped them a lot with their mindset going into starting their journey on creating their own business and thanked Douglas for his support.
The weakness of this course are that you are not getting enough coaching time and there is a lack in the quality of the program because of the delays and attention to detail as this reviewer shares his experience on the Douglas James training program, saying promises were broken as there were major delays in completing his funnel which took MANY MONTHS. The reviewer also says he was always with a group of 4 or 5 people and never had any 1 on 1 coaching and is looking for some accountability. He has requested a refund but knowing the refund policy of the Douglas James program, it doesn’t look too promising.
Based on the lack of quality the program offers and not having 1 on 1 coaching time, I would not suggest this program. I would personally want to feel supported and guided by the mentors, especially having spent $25,000 on one of their programs.
Programs that are transparent with how much the courses fully cost and coaches that show their full support are the ones that should be considered.
I recommend trying something like digital leasing, not only do you have transparency but also mentors that give you their full support and attention.
