TLDR – Will Amazon Profit Guide Help You Make It Big With Your Own Business?
So Dominick Carney’s Amazon Profit Guide is all about helping you run your ecommerce empire through the Amazon platform. But this is not FBA… this is dropshipping, Amazon style. So you don’t go through Amazon’s official FBA channels.
What Dominick teaches is actually pretty smart. Amazon FBA can be a real pain. The low profit margins of ecommerce make it really hard to be successful anyway, so if you can avoid those pesky FBA fees this is definitely a good thing.
The course doesn’t seem too bad…
And the course seems good too. You’ll learn plenty about running your online business, making more money by choosing the right international and domestic suppliers, and achieving financial freedom through outsourcing and hiring virtual assistants.
Dom Carney says you can do all this without investing your life savings or personal funds. Amazon FBA certainly needs a bit of upfront investment, so you’re left praying that your products sell fast enough to put you back in the black.
The Amazon dropshipping is different to other methods, so you won’t have to dip into your emergency fund or extra capital If you’ve still got college loans or other other ongoing payments… like just about everyone does… this is nice to hear.
But I’ve got a few concerns here…
Firstly… you’re basing your entire business model on something that’s not really allowed!
Amazon don’t like people dropshipping on their platform. They think the business model is too open to manipulation and fraud, which is fair enough. They prefer you to use trusted suppliers and official FBA channels.
You might feel a bit like Leo Dicaprio in Catch Me If You Can, staying one step ahead of the system. But, spoiler alert, it won’t feel quite so much fun when Amazon just blocks your account.
Secondly… even Dom Carney himself has had trouble with this model.
Dom knows that Amazon can just close your account, because they’ve closed his account before. Yeah, he’s managed to bounce back and open another account, so I suppose that’s proof that your Amazon dropshipping business can survive an account closure. But it still feels pretty stressful to me!
Dom has failed with other businesses in the past. I just hope he’s not going to do the same with this one!
Thirdly… dropshipping is a notoriously poor income stream.
Even if you manage to evade Jeff Bezos and his Amazon police. Even if you manage to keep your store open, against all the odds. Then what?
Dropshipping is famous for its low profit margins and its high failure rate. Yes, you might be able to keep on trading… but you’re still going to struggle to make money in such a saturated market.

You probably won’t be getting much out of this, if…
- You’re worried about catching heat from Amazon – Amazon is not the biggest fan of people dropshipping on their platform, so this might worry some people.
- You’re not sure about the business model – If you don’t like the whole dropshipping business model, and many people don’t, this probably isn’t for you.
- You’re concerned about the scam allegations – I did find a couple of allegations of scam behavior. While I don’t really agree myself, I can see why this might be a red flag.

The business model here is Amazon ecommerce…
Ok, so that means Amazon FBA then? Well… hold your horses, because Dominick is doing something different. He’s offering an Amazon dropshipping course, not FBA.
- So you set up your Amazon store, and you create a load of product listings…
- Customers browse your store, then they make a purchase…
- You reach out to your supplier, pass on the customer’s details, and they ship the product…
- You don’t handle any inventory, or packaging, or shipping, or anything like that…
It’s different from FBA because you don’t ship the product to the Amazon fulfillment center. You’re basically using Amazon as a digital storefront, and nothing else.
It’s worth noting that Amazon doesn’t really take too kindly to this. They don’t like the idea of sellers running their own wild west dropshipping empires when they could be paying FBA fees instead… and to be fair it does make them look bad if people are getting scammed by third party sellers on the Amazon platform.
While you might get a bit of a thrill from sticking it to Jeff Bezos, remember that he can bite back pretty hard too. If Amazon blocks your account, then you’re finished… so be careful.
How Much Does Amazon Profit Guide Cost?
Before you reach for that credit card, how much are you going to have to pay? What’s the Amazon Profit Guide cost?
Well, the course is supposed to cost $1,497. This is the “official” price I’ve found.
However… I’ve also seen it advertised at only $299.40. That’s a massive discount of about 80%!
Surely we’re not going to find this course any cheaper than that… but hold on one sec…
Here’s another vendor I found selling the program for only $197… going once, going twice!
Seriously though, paying as little as possible for the program is probably the safest bet, as there’s a strict no refund policy.
How Is Amazon Profit Guide Different?
Amazon Profit Guide is different to something like Smart FBA, simply because it’s not actually an Amazon FBA course. Dom Carney teaches you about Amazon dropshipping, which is quite different.
It’s also different to other programs like the one from Biaheza, which focuses more on traffic generation via a strong social media presence and YouTube strategy. Amazon Profit Guide offers a more well rounded approach.

Ok, let’s take a look at who’s behind the program. Just who exactly is Dom Carney, and what is he all about?
Dom Carney has done it all. He certainly achieved some solid income from Amazon dropshipping, after learning all about this model from Tommy Rodriguez back in 2016, but there’s more strings to his bow than just this.
He has invested in real estate… which is usually a money-spinner if you do it right. He also runs an ATM business… he quite literally has his own set of ATMs!
A difficult beginning…
But it hasn’t always been smooth sailing for Dom. After watching his father work in the stock broker business, Dom vowed that he would run his own company. He got into this early, pulling a number of side hustles as a kid until he got a job when he was 16.
Working full-time, and even more than full-time when he needed extra money, really underlined how much Dom did not want to get trapped in this world. 9-to-5, or 8-to-6, or 7-to-whenever-the-place-closed-for-the-evening… didn’t really appeal to the young entrepreneur.
He was ready to fly, but life—and a series of bad choices—got in the way. He was charged with driving under the influence and wound up being declared bankrupt at the age of 19. This would have been game over for many people, but Dom was made of tough stuff.
He got back on track, trying a bunch of different ecommerce hustles. Shopify ecommerce, Amazon FBA, affiliate marketing, day trading… he gave them all a whirl and failed at all of them.
Some success, some more failure, and some success again…
There is a happy ending to all this, I promise you. Amazon dropshipping gave Dom the break he needed, and this Seattle, Washington resident finally got to turn his life around.
Today, he runs a number of different businesses and hustles, from Amazon dropshipping through to the real estate and ATM investments we already heard about.
Again, though, Dom Carney still has his fair share of setbacks. He’s had his Amazon account frozen a few times, which is far from ideal when your business models are mainly Amazon-based.
Still, he stuck at it, and nowadays, he’s got multiple streams of revenue. AboveAve is the catch-all brand that Dom Carney runs, bringing together these numerous different streams.
What’s The Dominick Carney Net Worth Figure?
You’d expect this guru to have some good money behind him… but what sort of Dominick Carney net worth are we talking about here?
Well, this is a bit tricky to answer. I couldn’t find any reliable stats for his personal funds, but he seems to have done well from his business ventures.
He’s got a two-comma club award, and he’s built numerous companies that have turned over 7-figures in revenue. So, while I can’t put a concrete number on it, I’d say he’s doing pretty well.
Is Dominick Carney Legit?
This is a massive question… and I get that! No one wants to be scammed out here, so is Dominick Carney legit, or is there an Amazon Profit Guide scam going on?
I did find a few Dominick Carney reviews that use the word scam… but this is a pretty common occurence on the internet. People sign up for a course, they don’t get the big bucks ecommerce business success they expected, and so the yell “scam”.
The truth tends to be a little bit more subtle. I don’t think Dominick Carney is out to rip anyone off, but this doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed to make it big with Amazon dropshipping.
Dom’s advice and training is fine, but the business model is a little worrying to me. You’re basically doing something that the majority of people fail with… dropshipping.
Even worse, you’re doing it on a platform where you’re not really supposed to be doing it. Amazon doesn’t like dropshippers very much, because the business model is hard for them to regulate. If you want to do some Amazon dropshipping, they would like you to use their own Amazon FBA services.
This puts you at risk. What happens if Amazon say enough is enough and block your account? Dropshipping is shaky enough as it is without adding this whole other aspect of uncertainty!
There’s are other issues here too. Visiting the AboveAve site in March 2024, I found there was a banner blocking it. The banner features an ad for ClickFunnels, and suggests that the site owner get in touch to remove it.
I don’t know what Dom plans to do about this, but I’d say the site is not fully operational right now. This does happen from time to time… although I agree it’s not the most professional look.
What’s more worrying is that the course is still being offered on other websites. So I hope Dominick is still finding a way to support his online business students even while the site isn’t working properly.
Lastly, the impersonators! Dom says to watch out for people pretending to be him online… which further adds to the uncertainty around the program.
My Personal Opinion On Amazon Profit Guide
Ok, so here’s my personal take on all these Dom Carney reviews…
I respect the guy’s hustle and I think he’s done very well after some early obstacles that almost derailed his career… but I just can’t recommend this one.
Before we get into it, he’s what I want to see from a program like this…
- Great coaching, mentoring, and materials…
- Big profit potential…
- Financial freedom, and real life freedom…
Will Dominick Carney’s Course Make You A Millionaire?
I don’t think so… that’s my honest answer.
No matter which way I try to look at it, there’s one thing that I can’t help but think about —the Amazon platform itself.
It’s like watching a bad horror movie. You know there’s a vampire right outside the door. You know those college kids should stay in the cabin, not run out into the scary forest. And yet you watch everyone make the same old horror movie mistakes… and they get picked off one by one.
If the last few years of ecommerce have taught us anything, it’s that Amazon always wins. You make mistakes—breaking the rules, for example, or avoiding the company’s FBA fees and charges—and Amazon can and will punish you for it.
I just can’t put this out of my head. Yes, Dominick Carney has made some good money from this business model, but the whole thing just seems to unreliable to me.
Here’s a quick look at how it stacks up…
- The coaching, mentoring and materials are fine… as long as you don’t mind the uncertainty around what you’re learning.
- The profits probably aren’t great (don’t forget this is dropshipping) but you might be able to get some returns… until Amazon blocks your account
- Freedom? I suppose you could make semi-passive income from this third party sellers approach, but only if everything goes without a hitch… and I don’t think you can count on this!
I prefer something with a bit more control and reliability… something you can actually build into your long-term plan.
This what makes Digital Leasing by far the better option.

- The profits can be huge with digital leasing… you’re operating in local lead generation, so there’s no risk of market saturation and there’s plenty of opportunity to become the leader in your online business niche.

And, of course, you’re in control. You own everything. You’re the boss. You’re in the driver’s seat. You’re not constantly looking over your shoulder, waiting for the powers that be to block your account.

My Dominick Carney Reviews Roundup – The Conclusion
Ok, let’s bring my Dominick Carney review to an end. What’s my conclusion here?
I’d say that Dom Carney has had a bit of a rollercoaster of a career. He’s tried loads of businesses, and I’m sure he won’t mind me saying things haven’t always been easy for him.
It seems like the Amazon dropshipping model (basically his own version of Amazon FBA) has finally made Dom Carney a success. But I just don’t think it’s going to do the same for you.
Call me old fashioned… but I prefer business models where there’s no danger of the rug being pulled out from under you at any moment. I prefer models where you’re in control and you’re the boss of the business.
With Amazon dropshipping, it just feels like you’re operating on borrowed time. Yeah, you might make a bit of money. But it’s not sustainable in the long term.
