How Is Budai Media Different?
Budai Media is pretty different to other ecommerce programs. First of all, it’s not really a program… although the team does offer consultation and mentoring services.
The company sets itself up as an experienced email marketing partner and a full-service marketing agency… which sets it apart from courses like those from Ecom Dave.
It’s also different to Ecom Genie, and similar programs. These are more focused on “done for you”, rather than services and tools you can use for yourself.
The Guru… Reviewed – What’s Daniel Budai All About?
Originally from Hungary, Daniel Budai never set out to be an entrepreneur. Back in 2016, he was more interested in science and was studying for a degree in geology at a university in Budapest.
However, things began to change. He lost interest and dropped out of college. In need of a new direction, he got a job, and found he hated it.
Daniel freely admits that he wasn’t feeling very good at this point in his life. Now he light-heardedly describes himself as “genetically unemployable”, but back then thoughts of failure were really starting to get to him.
But his closest friends stood by him. He began pursuing new possibilities in business, working on email copywriting and gaining some pretty good clients. From here, he began to focus on customer retention as a specialty. Slowly, a new vision began to take shape… becoming Budai Media in 2018.

Is There A Budai Media Scam To Worry About?
This is the big question for many of you… and I totally get that. So, is there a Daniel Budai scam going on here?
I’ve done quite a bit of research here, checking out testimonies from people who hired Budai Media. And the verdict seems to be pretty good. There were some poor reviews (there always are) but the team got in touch to try to put it right. Always a good sign.
Generally, people said Budai Media produced deliverables in an acceptable way. Reviewers talked about how the collaborative team communicated regularly with them, and that the team led productive discussions that helped businesses move forward.
So… no scam here. Just a legit team helping customer-obsessed ecommerce brands keep hold of the clients that mean so much to them.
But this doesn’t necessarily mean I recommend Budai Media’s conversion optimization and customer retention services to everyone. Here’s why…
- People who chose Budai Media and did well are already way ahead in the ecommerce game – The glory days of ecom are over, and if you’re getting onboard now, you’ve got too much work to catch up. You’ll probably experience little or no revenue boost, even with Budai’s best efforts.
- Ecommerce is getting harder and harder – Profit margins are getting slimmer in ecommerce, and all the email campaigns, automated flows, and robust strategy meetings won’t help ecommerce merchants match the income of a few years ago.
- Customers are wising up – Consumers know exactly what ecommerce is all about. They know that they are paying more to cover the person in the middle, and they don’t like it. Your e-commerce project’s success depends on these customers, and it’s getting harder and harder to attract them.
Don’t be afraid… there’s no Budai Media scam here. But there is a very difficult business model that’s getting increasingly difficult to master.
My Personal Opinion On Budai Media
Here’s my personal opinion on Budai Media…
I’m a fan. I think if you’re the right sort of person, this can be a good fit for you.
But that’s a big if…
Most people are not going to get much out of this.
This is what I want to see from a program like this…
- Great coaching and incredible resources
- Real profits you can take to the bank
- The freedom to live life on your terms
Will Budai Media’s Email Marketing Strategy And Other Services Make You A Millionaire?
I doubt it…
And this isn’t because of the services. Daniel and his team have a great set of offerings, and I’m sure they’ve achieved solid results for some of their clients.
My issue is that
a) Budai Media is really only targeted at a small group of people.
and b) Ecommerce is a sketchy market to be involved in right now. If you’re not already making good money here, you’re probably too late.
This is what we’re working with…
- Daniel and his team offer great services… but only for people already doing well with ecommerce.
- Some of Daniel’s clients have achieved good profit boosts… but only those who were already profiting from this business model.
- There’s not much freedom to be had here… the services are good, you’re still going to be working hard to keep your head above water.
I much prefer something that’s accessible to everyone… not just a select few.
Digital Leasing really measures up well here.
- The Digital Leasing team are some of the best coaches around, and they give you great skills you can use as you build your new business.
- You can start from scratch, and still build up to $2k-$3k per digital rental property, over as many properties as you want.
- Once the sites are up and running, you’re looking at semi-passive income, and a whole lot of freedom.
