Summary

So, what’s the Local Marketing Vault all about? The Local Marketing Vault course focuses on things like closing sales and handling media buying, as well as ad prospecting, copywriting and crafting your ads. I think this is pretty good for the most part, and it needs to be! You’re going to need a huge skillset as you set up and run your own agency. On the Local Marketing Vault course, you gain this from wisdom of James Bonadies and Jason McKim – two guys who know their stuff, have built their own ad agency, and now offer coaching on how you can do it too. There seems to be a strong community in Local Marketing Vault’s active Facebook group but some users might want a bit more close mentoring and support from the head honchos themselves, especially given the price tag.

The Good Stuff

  • There's Great Stuff in the Curriculum: Users talk about learning useful lead generation skills in Facebook and Google ads. This means you'll get everything you need for building your lead generation business.
  • The Private Facebook Group is Useful: Another thing that users are enjoying about Local Marketing Vault is the private Facebook group. You'll get support from likeminded users, and share your wins.
  • There are Real Pathways for Growth: If you can find your niche, there are readymade funnels that you can start using right away. This means you won't have to wait for a while to make money.

The Bad Stuff

  • It's Tough to Get Your Online Business Off the Ground: You'll get solid information from your guys at Local Marketing Vault, but this is a competitive market and seeing returns is really hard.
  • Lead Generation is a Difficult Sell: If your leads are no good, then small business owners might not want to pay you for them.
  • You'll Need More than Just Paid Ads: The course is quite heavy on paid ads, which means you might need to invest in another online coaching program in the future to grow your own digital marketing agency.

Firstly, Why Am I Writing The Review?

Nice to meet you, my name is Brittney!

My story starts like many do… “slaving away” at a 9-5 job that I didn’t really enjoy, but hey – it paid the bills.

I worked for a large Fortune 500 company that performed background checks for other companies when they wanted to hire a new employee… so you know, not exactly exciting stuff.

For a lot of people, a nice stable job and predictable check coming in every month is the picture of success, but for me, it felt like I was missing out on life.

Clocking in every single day, doing the same tasks over and over again, getting home with barely enough time to make dinner and enjoy some time to myself… only to wake up again the next morning and do it all over again.

I just wanted to enjoy life without being shackled to an unfilling job.

I wanted to be able to take vacations whenever I wanted, for however long I wanted.

I didn’t want to have to beg my boss for a salary increase that barely matched inflation.

I just wanted to be free and happy.

Then about 4 years ago (as a stroke of luck), I stumbled across a program that taught me how to make money online by actually helping real people (local US businesses).

Who Cares About That?

99% of reviewers out there don’t have experience running an actual business. They’re writing about stuff that they have no real experience with.

Why would they do that?

They just want you to click through and buy the program that the review is about!

I have absolutely no relationship with J Rich, so you can rest easy knowing that I’m going to give you my honest opinion.

This review is written based on my own experiences with this business model.

All that being said, let’s jump into things.

TLDR – Is Local Marketing Vault Worth Your Time?

James Bonadies and Jason McKim of Local Marketing Review

You came here looking for Local Marketing Vault reviews, and you probably want something super straightforward. A straight-up yes or no – “go for it”, or “can it”. I’m going to do my best here, but it’s not quite as simple as that.

James and Jason are good guys with a ton to offer. They’ve been there and done it in lead generation services, and they have multiple clients who can back this up.

But, should you join Local Marketing Vault? Does what you get justify the Local Marketing Vault cost?

This is where it gets more complicated.

Let’s say you go out to the new Italian place in your neighborhood. You order the gnocchi and it’s absolutely unreal. You sweet talk the chef and they give you the recipe, you get the ingredients, and away you go. But it just doesn’t turn out the way you expected. It’s just not quite as good as you remember.

It’s the old “knowing how” vs “actually doing it” question again. You’re going to gain some great skills from the program, like using Google Adwords and running ad campaigns. This is really useful, and does justify some of the Local Marketing Vault cost.

But this is just a piece of puzzle. If you are going to be generating real qualified leads for local businesses – the kind that local businesses are actually going to pay you for – you’ll need a lot more than this.

There’s also a lot of work involved. Looking at reviews, time and time again the same thing is coming up: you can’t just dip into the local market vault, you’ve got to go all in.

All the success stories come from people who have poured their heart and soul into the coaching program and into driving paid traffic for business owners. This ain’t exactly passive income.

What’s Your Return? Keep these Cost Factors in Mind

Cost FactorAverage Cost
Local Marketing Vault program costBetween $3,000 and $5,000 based on reviews.
Paid ad costsBetween $90 and $350 per lead depending on your niche.
Domain, hosting and SSL costs for business website. From $3 to $25 a month for the domain. From $3 to $400 per month for hosting. From $1 to $250 per year for SSL certification.
Managing clients and running your businessOngoing costs in terms of time, effort, and money.

If lead generation is your passion and you want to devote a big portion of your time to this over the next few years, then great. But if you’re looking for something a bit closer to passive income, with more control and a better work/life balance, you might prefer to try something else.

Something a bit similar that I’ve seen people have real success with in the past is Digital Leasing – check it out here. You’re still generating leads for local businesses, but this for me is a friendlier lead generation business model.

You won’t need to spend ten hours a day juggling phone calls to unconvinced small businesses while desperately trying to craft your successful paid ads campaign.

We’ll look at this in a bit more detail later on. For now, let’s keep rolling with the Local Marketing Vault review.

Who is Local Marketing Vault For?

Who Does It Benefit and Who It Doesn't

Ok, I know I’ve been a bit back and forth. That’s because there is actuaaly some money to be made that could justify the Local Marketing Vault Costs.

But… and this is a big but…

it’s not for everyone. So who is Local Marketing Vault for?

Who it’s For

Local Marketing Vault might be for you…

  • If you’re a seller. If you love the thrill of the chase, and have no trouble winning people over, the Local Marketing Vault might be for you. Something that keeps coming up again and again in the reviews is just how much selling is involved their version of the business model.
  • If you’re up for a mega project. Building a paid ads business with the Local Marketing Vault requires a lot of work. If this challenge sounds like its right up your alley, Local Marketing Vault could be for you.
  • If you’re happy to take on some risk, and throw caution to the wind. Yes, there’s money to be made in ad agency models like this one, but you’ve got to be a brave soul to make it work for you. If your leads dry up your customers will expect answers

Who it’s NOT For

And… the flip side. Local Marketing Vault might not be for you…

  • If you want to be making money sooner rather than later. While some users have found this program to be a lucrative business model, others are a bit disappointed with how long it takes to see a return.
  • If you’ve got other things going on. This is not passive income – it’s a full-time project to help you build your own business. If you don’t have time for that, Local Marketing Vault is probably not for you.
  • If you want a bit more control and reliability. You’re at the mercy of the Facebook and Google when you’re running paid ads. Slip up, and you could find your ad account frozen and your revenue flow stopped. If you don’t like the idea of this uncertainty, it might the Local Marketing Vault online marketing model might not be the best call for you.

Some Positive and Negatives Testimonials for Local Marketing Vault

The ReviewerThe ScoreWhat they had to Say
Pamela M.4/5Do the work and the money will follow
It’s all there. Instruction, direction, support, encouragement and tough love–but as with anything, YOU have to do the work. It’s also inspiring to see the success of so many others in the Group. It can be done.
Olivia4/5Useful but…
The program contains useful information to help you succeed in the competitive world of digital marketing. However, you will need to research outside the program if you want to make this a business. You can make money, but you should know also the fundamentals of managing a business.
Bobby Gordon1/5 Helped kick-start my digital marketing in a way BUT questionable cost and feels sketchy
Helped kick-start my digital marketing career but never helped me create my own business, it was very sales-oriented and pitchy. Everything is laid out very nicely, and well put together. The Facebook Group is the best part. But the heavy heavy price tag made this a bad buy on my part. Also, I never got a (and still don’t) clear idea of how much this course cost. I was never given a “personalized plan” like support has told me. I was told this course was not even close to 5k, but which I paid over 5k for it. If I didn’t pay it off in one chunk, it would of cost me close to 7k. I’m more frustrated that no-one will give me a straight answer on how much this course cost. It’s really sketchy to me, which is why I am now regretting this purchase. Decent course, great FB group, but way overpriced.
Sean1/5Program is very over priced compared to…
Program is very over priced compared to better similar programs (5k). Constantly selling more of other peoples programs as affiliates rather than focusing on improving their own program.

Sold on the premise they keep up to date and working lead generation offers for different niches but they almost never change and if they don’t work its your fault. For the price paid for this program, its ridiculous.

Most good reviews are likely from customers that are being bribed with more content.

The 1,000 FT View on James, Jason and Local Marketing Vault

1,000 FT View - Local Marketing Vault Review

If you’ve made it this far into my Local Marketing Vault review, well done. Thanks for bearing with me. If you’ve just skipped down to this point, no worries!

Now, I want to talk about the 1,000 FT view. Basically, what Local Marketing Vault teaches and how it’s different from the other options out there on the market. There are plenty of those, after all.

The Local Marketing Vault Business Model

So, what is the Local Marketing Vault business model exactly?

Local Marketing Vault focuses on helping users generate leads for small businesses in your local area. A small business owner needs more leads so they can convert more customers. Your ad agency or lead generation operation is sending these leads their way. The business owner pays you. Simple as that.

Except it’s not quite as simple as that.

You need a lot of skills to make this work.

You need…

  1. Paid ad skills – You’ll need to be great at running Google Ads and Facebook ad campaigns.
  2. Prospecting skills – You’ll need to find local business clients to sell leads too.
  3. Sales skills – You’ll need strong sales training to get good at pitching to these clients.
  4. Analytics skills – You’ll need to be able to check your performance and make the right changes.
  5. Client handling skills – You’ll need to keep your clients happy with great service.

Local Marketing Vault provides training designed to help you build these skills, but do I need to remind you of the Italian restaurant example from earlier?

What Does Local Marketing Vault Cost?

Of course, this kind of service isn’t free. You can expect to pay a bit of money to get where you need to be. But how much? The program is a bit shy about it’s pricing for some reason. They don’t display the Local Marketing Vault costs upfront.

One Reddit user I found was a bit put off by this lack of upfront pricing on the Local Marketing Vault site, saying that they needed to set up a call before any cost details were discussed. This could be a sign that the Local Marketing Vault team are worried users might not see the value behind the price tag.

Other users report spending $4,500, or $5,000, or more, for their course. This isn’t exactly cheap, so you need to make sure you’re getting something good in return.

If the program teaches you how to really smash your lead generation strategy, and generate leads like there’s no tomorrow, then great. Just bear in mind it’s gonna take a lot of time and effort to make that money back.

How is Local Marketing Vault Different?

A Local Marketing Vault review wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t tell you how it’s different. So what makes it stand out from other programs out there that promise to help you generate leads?

It stands apart from courses like Imam Gahdzi’s Agency Incubator. It’s a bit more expensive than Iman’s course, but offers more resources like training videos and live calls for users.

It also has a local focus. Local Marketing Vault is all about generating leads for local businesses. Lots of business types depend on this kind of lead generation – they are competing with lots of other fish in a limited pool, and good leads are like gold.

The course is also different to Lucas Lee Tyson’s Productized Profits program. Again, it has a local focus and it is more aimed at teaching paid ads and similar techniques, while Lucas’ program is more sales heavy.

That’s not to say there’s no sales aspect here. One reviewer I found about how she is more technically and analytically minded, and a bit introverted, and found the selling aspect of Local Marketing Vault program tough.

All in all, this a program aimed at helping you develop local marketing services, which is a cool thing to be doing for your community.

But are other programs also offering lead generation coaching focused on small businesses? Yes. It does seem you can learn these same skills elsewhere.

The Jason McKim and James Bonadies Review: What are the Gurus All About?

A pitch from James and Jason, in which they claim to use similar methods to Uber, Lyft and Airbnb.

Jason and James themselves offer two pretty big selling points for the Local Marketing Vault program, so it helps to do a Jason McKim and James Bonadies review too. A labor-intensive course like this one needs a great business mentor, and with these guys you’ve got two.

Both Jason and James say they’ve followed the “traditional route” in business – MBAs, financial consultancy, impressive stuff if you ask me! But they wanted something different. James started his own marketing agency in 2014, quickly hitting seven figures, and then eight.

Meanwhile, Jason tapped into the growing need for business lead generation, and never looked back. All of this is encouraging. They’ve done what they are telling you to do.

They make some big claims about what you’ll get from the program, including the Pin Method that is meant to drive clients your way, and the Online Model that the program team suggests “only the big businesses are smart enough to use.”

These claims might be bold, but at least you know Jason and James have lived it. And I’ve seen many a Jason McKim and James Bonadies review that suggests at least a few users have seen some decent successes from the program.

Is there a Local Marketing Vault Scam?

Some student testimonials from the program.

Let’s get to the big question. Is there a Local Marketing Vault scam going on here?

No, not at all. James and Jason are good guys who have been there and done what their students are trying to do. Is Local Marketing Vault legit? Yes it is!

This is a good program with lots of great info for budding lead generation entrepreneurs. As training programs go, this one is no worse than many others out there, and the wealth of great reviews for Local Marketing Vault shows that some people are making money from this.

It’s just not my favorite, simply because making money is hard with lead generation models like this one.

  • Small business owners don’t just need leads, they need customers. You’ll need to make sure you’re finding highly qualified leads, which are tough to win over on FB.
  • The lead generation business model is super competitive, and you’ll need to be really good at selling to make sure clients choose you. Every new student from James and Jason’s program is a new competitor you have to outsell.
  • The paid ad agency route isn’t the only thing businesses need to get leads. You’ll need to be good at lots of others things, like organic copywriting and SEO, to move ahead in lead generation.

I actually prefer a slightly different model – Digital Leasing.

With Digital Leasing, you take control. You set up your own simple website which becomes your digital rental space, funneling hot, highly-qualified leads to your clients. It’s simple and straightforward, and your clients will be desperate to pay you for the customers you send their way.

I’ve seen first hand the kind of coaching and mentorship you get from this program. These guys not only know their stuff, they’re committed to making sure you know it too. With practical support and real hands-on training, you’ll learn how to implement the info you receive.

They’ve also got a great track record in helping budding entrepreneurs – people like you who are searching for an effective way to make big changes in their lives.

Ever dreamed of just taking off and seeing the world?

How does working from the beach in Bali sound, or from a ski chalet in the Swiss Alps?

This is the kind of freedom you want when you make this change, and with a semi passive income stream like this one, this is the freedom you’ll get.

Check out how you can get started with Digital Leasing today.

My Personal Opinion on Local Marketing Vault

My Personal Opinion: Scam or Legit?

I said at the top of this Local Marketing Vault review that I was going to be offering my opinion on the program – an opinion based on a ton of research and plenty of years spent out here on the internet marketing frontline.

First of all, what do I look like in a lead generation course like this one?

Great Coaching

You need coaches who know what they are doing, and who are there and ready to advise you on your journey.

Jason and James certainly know what they are doing, and, aside from a few reviews, they seem to be able to offer support to their users.

Big Results

Providing leads to businesses is a great thing to do, but you’re not out to offer a public service. Those business owners need to put food on the table and so do you. So you need to find a program that’s gonna deliver those big returns you’ve dreamed about.

Some Local Marketing Vault users are seeing those returns, but others are struggling, probably because they weren’t a great fit for the program to begin with.

Mindset Match

One thing I’ve touched on a ton of times in this Local Marketing Vault review is mindset. You need to be ready to put in serious work to make bank on what Jason and James offer. You also need to be pretty extroverted, ready to sell, sell, and sell some more.

This won’t be for everyone, which is why you’ve really got to look at the program and find out if it matches your mindset.

Do I Recommend local Marketing Vault?

Here’s my top three reasons why I can’t stick a recommendation on this one, based on what I’ve discovered and what I’ve seen over the years in this industry.

  1. You need a really big skillset to achieve success with lead generation. The paid ads the program focuses on are a great place to start, but there’s more to success here than just paid traffic. You’ll need to be great at copywriting, online reputation management, selling and pitching, and a whole load of other stuff. The agency toolbox is solid, but you may need a bit more.
  2. You need to deal with a volatile industry. Running paid ads and generating paid traffic is great, until its not. Things change rapidly in this industry, and if your paid traffic starts to dry up you’ll need to be able to adapt.
  3. You need to commit… big time. I just can’t recommend a business model that requires this much work, long-term commitment, and investment. One Local Marketing Vault review I found on Reddit said they’d been told they’d have a return on their investment in 90 days. but four months and a ton of sales calls down the line, he hadn’t made anything. Other users have made their money back, and a whole pile more, but even the success stories suggest it takes a heck of a long time to see big returns.

The thing is, I actually really like lead generation as a business model. And I love local lead generation. I think it does great things for small businesses in your community – businesses that so often get drowned out by the big boys and girls with their multinational megacorps.

It’s a great thing to be doing, I totally get why so many people feel passionately about it, and I take my hat off to James and Jason for supporting people on this journey.

I just think, for most people, there are better ways to do this. We’re not quite talking about passive income here, but we are talking about an easier and more reliable way to get big returns from generating leads. If you want to know more about a program I’ve personally had good success with, hit the link here and check out Digital Leasing for yourself.

What You’ll Get from James and Jason’s Program?

What's Inside The Program?

Let’s take a quick look under the hood, and see the agency toolkit you get when you sign up with James and Jason.

Agency Setup Training

This is the basic part of the training. You’ll start at the beginning, learning how to start your paid ads agency, how to take care of the money side of things, and how to start getting revenue from the leads you sell.

Prospecting Vault

In this part of the training they’ll shore you how to grow your lead generation business, finding and landing new clients. You’ll learn different techniques for doing this. Some are online – like using Upwork and other platforms. Others are more direct – like pitching to potential clients and learning to convince business owners face-to-face.

LMV Genesis Training

This is where the real meat is – the main part of the Local Marketing Vault training. James and Jason and their team will help you get a bird’s eye view of the whole lead generation online business model. You’ll discover what kind of services you can give to your clients, how you can pitch them, and how you can make your digital marketing agency grow.

Local Facebook Mastery and Local PPC Mastery

Facebook and Google paid ads have their own section on the course. You’ll find out how to generate leads through these paid channels.

Pre-Made Funnels

One of the big parts of the course are the pre-made ads and funnels you can start using straightway. This is a big step towards making money online.

Private Facebook Group

The private Facebook group is a great asset. Here you’ll find likeminded individuals who can offer support when you need it, and who are there for you when you want to share a win.

My Conclusion for this Local Marketing Vault Review

Let’s wrap up this Local Marketing Vault review.

I’d say this was a great program for people who want to make lead generation their life’s work. If this is you, you might want to sign up with James and Jason.

I just think most people are going to struggle with this. The reviews I’ve found, both and good and bad, keep coming back to the same points – you can make money, hopefully, but you’ll need to be ready to give it everything, and even then there are no guarantees.

It’s probably best to shop around some other business models, and find one that’s a good fit for you. Take a look at my reviews of things like Wealthy Affiliate, or on this paid ads agency digital marketing program.

Or… check out something I’ve had good success with myself.

My #1 Way for Making Money Online

Digital Leasing - GGM

Our review team has spent months researching, reviewing, and vetting dozens of business models and thousands of programs.

While there may be no “perfect business”, the research IS conclusive:

Digital Leasing is the #1 online business model for those just starting out.

Whether you’ve never made a dollar online, or you’ve been in this space for a while but never really “made it,” Digital Leasing is for you.

Why?

1) It’s Flexible: got an hour a day? You can do this. Ready to drop everything else and dive in full time? You can do this. Yes, the more time you put in, the faster you see results. But even with a little time each day, you can move the needle in a Digital Leasing business.

And because this system is so flexible, you don’t have to constantly be working to make more money. It’s called PASSIVE INCOME because if you stop working, the money doesn’t.

Imagine taking 3 months off to just tour around Europe, rent a cabin in the woods to write a book, hike the Appalachian Trail, or live on the beach and surf all day.

This is not something your going to get with Jason and James’ program. Local Marketing Vault aims to give you a good income stream, but it’s an income stream that’s going to eat up all your time.

2) You Own & Control EVERYTHING: With an ad agency, you don’t really own anything. You’re a hired gun for clients, and entirely at their mercy.

Sure, with Local Marketing Vault you’ll have your own agency. But this agency is dependent on the rules of Google Ads and Facebook Ads. If you have a problem with your account on these platforms, everything comes crashing down.

With Digital Leasing (a passive income stream), you own all the assets, which means you have all the power and all the control.

3) Little To No Startup Costs: It’s possible to get into Digital Leasing with zero dollars upfront. Because, using the strategies outlined in this program, you can get a client to pay you BEFORE spending a penny out of your own pocket…even before you do any work.

You’ll need to invest a lot to get your agency up and running with Local Marketing Vault, but it’s different with Digital Leasing.

Even without getting paid in advance, you can have your first Digital Rental Property up, running, and generating profits for less than $100.

4) Easy To Duplicate: Ok, here’s the best part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up and running, you can literally DOUBLE your income with a few clicks, a couple keystrokes, and a single phone call (and you don’t actually need the phone call).

Remember: each Digital Rental Property is worth $500 to $2,000 a month in semi-passive income (over 95% profit). Every time you decide to create another one and increase your income, it gets easier.

Because you have more knowledge, more experience, more results, and more momentum.

If you wanted to double your income with the ad agency you create off the back of James and Jason’s course, you’d have to double your client roster OR double the monthly payments for your existing customers. That’s going to be a whole lot harder than a few clicks and a few minutes of your life.

5) Make Money Helping Real People: This part is what makes it all worth it. With Digital Leasing, you’re actually helping people by solving your clients’ biggest problem:

Small, local business owners need more customers, and with Digital Leasing, you are unleashing a flood of happy, paying customers for these businesses.

You make money by helping them make money.

Not a big, faceless corporation either…a small business owner who’s using that money to put food on the table for their family, start a college fund for their kids, or take care of a sick parent. Once you see how Digital Leasing makes a real impact in the lives of real people, you’ll sleep like a baby with a big smile on your face.

Now, the choice is yours. You could continue browsing, looking at opportunities like Local Marketing Vault which could one day make you money.

You could continue researching, never making a decision.

OR, you could take a look inside, consider what you really want, and join a program that makes your dreams a reality. At the same time, joining a community of over 2,000 successful students that are living life on their own terms thanks to Digital Leasing.

A consistent, reliable, semi-passive stream of income that doesn’t depend on you or your time to keep producing profits.

All while genuinely helping real people who are grateful and happy to pay for it.

If this sounds more like what you want out of life (or if you just want some nice side income), click here to learn more about Digital Leasing.
