Sure, their marketing makes some great promise you haven’t heard from the other dropshipping gurus, but at the end of the day, no magic bullet overcomes the massive pitfalls of this business model.
Let’s get something clear:
There is NOTHING passive about dropshipping, no matter how well most course creators sell the dream.
If you want that travel-the-world-making-money-while-you-sleep-laptop-lifestyle, dropshipping isn’t for you.
To run a successful dropshipping business, you need to be constantly on the lookout for new products.
Scouring the internet for hot trends and trying to find the next fidget spinner will take hours out of your day.
Not to mention, it’s not enough to just have the hot new product…
You also need to get the customers.
That means ads…
Lots and lots of ads…
Testing, tweaking, targeting, spending thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars before breaking even.
Not to mention, Facebook hates dropshipping, meaning one of your top traffic sources could shut you down at any time.

Store Formula is a video training course that teaches individuals how to profit from the eCommerce market.
Referred to as Store Formula 3, the program utilizes a procedure that is unique to the program.
Store Formula’s strategy entails collaborating with commerce headquarters and utilizing dropshipping.
The combination of the two aims to provide your store with a self-contained dropshipping business model.
It’s ideal for the novice who wants to embark on an entrepreneurial path with e-Commerce and earn a living.
And, for someone with no prior expertise or knowledge of dropshipping, can this program truly provide when the failure rate is so high?
However, I must admit that its coverage of traffic sources is somewhat limited. It would have been more beneficial if they covered additional ground.
Who Is Jon Mac?
Jon Mac is a renowned marketing strategist, coach, motivational speaker, and entrepreneur who creates many online eCommerce courses, publications, and platforms. Among them are Store Formula, Formula, and CommerceHQ.
He states that he does what he does to contribute to his students’ achievement — sort of like paying it forward.
However, that could be another advertising strategy to attract more subscribers.
Additionally, I find it weird that Jon Mac does not have a sizable following on Facebook, YouTube, and other social media platforms and channels. The majority of dropshipping course designers claim a sizable social media following, which bolsters their reputation and authenticity in the eyes of potential students.
What’s Included In Store Formula 3?
Store Formula, or Store Formula 3, is an online course that teaches students how to earn money through an online store by utilizing dropshipping and CommerceHQ (which Jon Mac co-founded).
Jon Mac is attempting to compete with Shopify via his CommerceHQ platform.
The course will be delivered in various media, including ultra-high definition videos, webinars, mp3 recordings, and transcripts.
It’s critical to underline, as I previously stated, that this course is focused on dropshipping and assumes that the dropshipping occurs exclusively within the United States.
What To Expect In This Course
Store Formula is a step-by-step video course on drop shipping that is spaced out over a four-week period, consisting of 53 videos that run for a total of 9 hours and 17 minutes.
Store Formula is ideal for anyone new to eCommerce. It makes the bold claim of assisting you in building your online store from the ground up.
The method is laid out step by step, which is ideal for someone unfamiliar with dropshipping.
Its design and structure are excellent because it’s available from anywhere with an internet connection, whether on a mobile device or a desktop. More importantly, it is updated regularly, which I believe is critical when running an online business.
When you join Store Formula, you automatically obtain access to CommerceHQ, another course by Jon Mac that attempts to replicate Shopify’s functions.

Store Formula contains 53 video modules, all in Ultra HD, totaling 9 hours and 17 minutes of viewing time.
Welcome
Video Length: 8 minutes 58 seconds
The Welcome video provides an overview of the course, including what to expect throughout the program.
Jon also introduces himself and explains that he developed the course for these two:
- For those with no prior understanding of eCommerce
- For those who have an eCommerce business but want to take it to the next level
Week 1: Build
Video Length: 2 hours and 37 minutes/10 modules
Week 1 is dedicated to assisting you in acquiring the “correct mindset” and fast setting up your Commerce HQ stores.
Because mindset is critical for eCommerce success, I’d want to praise them in this section.
Jon Mac’s Shopify alternative, Commerce HQ, includes everything you need to launch a high-converting online store.
It includes various tools and themes, and for one year, you can open up to six online stores.
Jon proposes that you start with a generic store and then learn how to add winning products to Commerce HQ. Additionally, you will learn how to develop your niche stores.
Commerce HQ is a relatively uncomplicated application that anyone, even a novice, can use. Indeed, it’s so simple to set up that you may launch it within 24 hours – or even less!
As expected, this is the point at which some troubles with the Shopify and Commerce HQ platforms recur. The latter is, presumably, more simplified than Shopify.
However, because I have no immediate plans to open a dropshipping store, I have not yet attempted Commerce HQ.
If you have a question or run some issue, Jon Mac Store Formula has an adequate support crew to handle your concerns using their email client help system.
You should anticipate, however, that the majority of modules will discuss developing the proper mindset. As a business coach, this is somewhat expected.
As such, Jon Mac presents his students with the following “equation“:

Week 2: Select
Video Length: 2 hours and 17 minutes/14 modules
As the title implies, week 2 is all about identifying the winning products for your Commerce HQ store.
Jon notes that while reinventing the wheel in this line of business is dangerous. He advises entrepreneurs to stick with tried-and-tested products. Here, he demonstrates how to locate them via Facebook feeds.
Moreover, Mac Store Formula uses proprietary software that allows you to browse all active Facebook advertising. And this simplifies the process of finding winning products.
He also discusses profit margins and product price.
Week 3: Launch
Video Length: 1 hour and 55 minutes/11 modules
3rd week of Store Formula is focused mainly on Facebook Ads.
According to Jon, Facebook is critical for rapidly growing your eCommerce business, saying that they have cracked the secret on using Facebook Ads efficiently. And if you are unaware of this, you will be losing a lot of money.
This training will lead you through the process of creating and running a successful advertisement campaign using Jon’s methodology.
Week 4: Outsource
Video Length: 1 hour and 29 minutes
The 4th week is all about outsourcing.
Here, Jon teaches you the value of developing your team to achieve your desired “dream lifestyle.” After all, this is the point at which your entrepreneurial adventure should conclude.
You can ensure that your online store receives the necessary support without micromanaging the operations with a team.
This way, you gain additional time. Additionally, having more time allows you to focus on other activities or pursuits.
Jon Mac advises hiring individuals for the following positions:
- For launching ads
- Customer service rep
- For project management
The issue is that he is not clear on how to implement these proposals. If the students are novices, they undoubtedly require more concrete direction than simply discussing it generally.
I can think of a dozen additional points he could have made here.

I just got the opportunity to view five Q&A sessions with Jon Mac.
What I enjoy most about these modules are the following:
- Jon personally addresses any questions you may have about the course.
- He randomly selects children to place in “hot seats” where they will have the opportunity to speak with him.
- All sessions are recorded, so resuming them is not a problem.
How To Find Trending Products To Sell Online For Ecom & Dropshipping
- Monitor social media talks.
- Browse online product reviews.
- Utilize YouTube to its full potential.
- Conduct some research on online auction sites.
- Ascertain that you reap the benefits of Suppliers Directors.
- Utilize Google Trends to optimize.
Is It A Worthwhile Course? Can You Make Money From It?
According to their student’s success stories and testimonies on their website, it appears that it is genuine.
However, we are all aware that we cannot be sure because there’s no way to determine whether they have been edited or fabricated.
And then, for all you know, it could be a part of a CommerceHQ affiliate scheme.
The following are some of the features included in CommerceHQ:
- Builder for upsell campaigns
- Upsells with a single click
- Native applications for increased conversion rates
- Virtual drag-and-drop builder
- Checkout page in accordion format
- Zero processing costs.
- Recovering abandoned carts
- 15 additional features
I believe that the course is well-structured, which is plenty to keep you going for the week.
However, I believe that the content is not worth the money. However, with the additions and other assistance provided by the team, things improved slightly. CommerceHQ is valued at $299 per month on its own.
Thus, it is entirely up to you whether or not you like to attempt and risk this company plan, which, in my opinion, is not the greatest for this year.
You can certainly make money with dropshipping, but if you’re gonna put in the amount of grueling work to become a dropshipper (which, trust me, isn’t easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money.
The program that helped skyrocket my online business to $50,000+ per month teaches some of the same skills, but shows you how to monetize them in a much, MUCH more profitable way.
Is Jon Mac Store Formula A Scam?
So, is Store Formula a scam?
Not technically. You can make money with this program, but it’s definitely not as easy as Jon Mac makes it sound.
There’s a ton of work to be done upfront, no real guarantee of success, and – most importantly – you need to do a ton of volume to make any real money.
Now, there’s nothing wrong with front-loading the work and making the money later.
But if you’re grinding it out for 3 months, $3-5k in the hole on ads (because that whole “get started with $5 a day” thing is total BS) and then your reward is 15% profit on a $12 product (which comes out to $1.80), it’s not really worth it.
What if, instead, you could do that same 3 months of work (in your spare time), and your reward was a $500 to $2,000 payment that came in every single month?
And what if you actually didn’t need to wait 3 months? What if you could get started today and have your first payment in a week?
And what if you could double it next week?
