The Freedom Mentor positions itself as a course that does much more than teach students how to do it themselves — it sets itself apart as a program working hands-on with them to close deals, mentors students, and become successful real estate investors.
And, like many other prominent real estate brands and traditional real estate investing, it is built entirely around the creator’s personality; so, to recognize the brand, we must first understand the founder.
Who Is Phil Pustejovsky?
Phil Pustejovsky is best known as “North America’s leading real estate mentor,” a title he has self-assigned. He is a best-selling book and a seasoned real estate investor who has completed thousands of transactions.
Phil was born in Texas, worked in the traditional 9 to 5 jobs he despised, became tired of, and occasionally fell asleep at his desk. He then got into a dispute with his boss’s boss about one day off, and to make a long story short, he found himself without a job, living out of his vehicle and eating canned beans.
Ironically though…Phil’s life improved dramatically after he became homeless and unemployed.
He claims he met his mentor during his initial flip, and the mentor agreed to teach him all things he knew in exchange for going 50/50 on the deal.
Phil is now married, resides in Florida, and has a lucrative real estate investing business. He offers the same thing that helped him achieve success in life: hands-on mentoring in exchange for a 50/50 portion of the deals his mentees close.
Phil promotes his program via books and YouTube videos, serving as his primary form of instruction.

That’s a lot of substance, and the course has a compilation of publicly available Youtube videos from Phil’s channel.
The additional benefit is primarily due to the planned structure of the videos, which are available in an exceptionally user-friendly format and lead you through the various steps.
They are best viewed in the sequence established by the course.
If your goal is to learn quickly, enrolling in the course makes sense.
Phil’s introduction video has been viewed nearly three million times in the last five years. Surprisingly, the channel, which maintains a respectable 300,000 followers, is named after Phil, without mentioning his company “Freedom Mentor.”
YouTube was mostly how Phil began, and it was the reason Freedom Mentor became such a successful real estate investor program. Phil was one of the first members of the real estate room to start utilizing the site.
The channel launched in 2009 and has now amassed over 100 million views. It has gained global recognition due to Phil’s mentoring, charisma, and passion on camera.
He can simplify complicated concepts.
Phil asserts that what distinguishes his channel from other real estate-focused media is that what you learn is the pure signal (truth)’ rather than the “noise” prevalent elsewhere.
Additionally, Freedom Mentor has a separate web page titled ‘Inspiration,’ They feature stories of how regular everyday people transformed their lives and closed significant deals after joining the program.
The reviews summarize each individual’s life in a nutshell, including their photograph and a small recorded video testimonial.
It’s difficult to determine the integrity of these freedom mentor reviews however. Good or bad, the best way to tell if a review is legit or not is by the length of the comment. Short positive or short negative customer reviews are probably fake.
Freedom Mentor Offers Paid Training

Although no pricing is disclosed online, I dug and uncovered them on their website.
Freedom Mentor offers two paid programs:
Apprenticeship program. It costs $997 and is entirely refundable within three days of purchase.
Mentorship Program. It’s $3000… Non-Refundable.
Additionally, 50% of each contract you close through either program will be paid to Freedom Mentor.
This means that if you close a 200K deal, you retain 100K in earnings while issuing the remaining 100K to Freedom Mentor.
To become a member of the Freedom Mentor team, you must register on the website. After you apply, a member of Phil’s team will contact you to discuss the program.
Following that, you will be assessed by phone call to see whether you are a qualified applicant.
To be considered for admission, you will be assessed to determine whether you are coachable, devoted, honest, action-oriented, and possess a positive mental attitude.
What are the lessons that these two systems impart? It is not entirely clear what each of the two tiers provides access to, but here’s the pool of information they promise:

This program includes access to a lender database, two weekly convention calls with other apprentices, daily involvement with the Freedom Mentor’s coaching staff, and three monthly phone sessions with the coaching staff.
Freedom Mentor Program Reviews
As with any product, you’ll be able to find reviews from both sides of the aisle.
The main distinction from Freedom Mentor is the hands-on approach and the significantly higher costs when the 50/50 split is included.
If you’re the sort that tries to figure things out on your own and struggles to take action without someone holding your hand, it’s probably worthwhile for you to spend $ 1 to 3k + $50k on your first $100k in deals.

After completing the free Freedom Mentor Program, you can access it on Phil’s website and choose to enroll in his apprentice program, which introduces you to innovative investing.
All that is required is the identification of motivated sellers and the acquisition and disposition of properties.

Can You Make Money With Freedom Mentor?
This is a somewhat subjective assessment. Some will and some won’t. That’s just the truth…
This likely won’t be a good fit for everyone, but it truly could be for you if you’re ready to invest. By the way, how much money do you anticipate you’ll make if you’re required to give him half of your cut?
You can certainly make money with real estate, but if you’re gonna put in the amount of grueling work to become a real estate investor (which, trust me, isn’t easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money.
Is Freedom Mentor Legit?
It is a legitimate real estate investing mentorship system that will assist its trainees in growing their businesses or in starting their own.
Nonetheless, I do not recommend this program only for the following reasons.
To begin, it is expensive for the average person. Besides you can learn a lot on your own.
Second, I’m wary of their reviews because there are a lot of short positive reviews/comments, and not too many negative comments. Personally, I only really trust consumer comments that are long.
Something like “freedom mentors is awesome” just doesn’t cut it for me you know?
Third, the 50/50 share, along with the opulent charges, gives me little trust that anyone will receive their money as quickly as they wish.
However, when it comes to starting a business, there are numerous possibilities.
And even if you’re focused on being a real estate agent/investor, there are far superior alternatives to Freedom Mentor.
Bear in mind that I am not compensated for promoting any of the programs I review. I believe that being Real Estate Investor is an excellent business strategy, but you risk leaving a lot of money on the table.
Is Freedom Mentor A Scam?
So, is Freedom Mentor a scam? Not technically. You can make money with this program, but it’s definitely not as easy as Phil Pustejovsky makes it sound.
There’s a ton of work to be done upfront, no real guarantee of success, and – most importantly – the actual profit margins on real estate investments are pretty small.
Now, there’s nothing wrong with front-loading the work and making the money later.
But if you’re grinding it out for 3 months – looking at deals, sending out offers, negotiating with the seller and lender to buy a rental property – and then your reward is like $100 a month in profits, it’s not really worth it.
What if, instead, you could do that same 3 months of work (in your spare time), and your reward was a $500 to $2,000 payment that came in every single month (with a 90-95% profit margin)?
And what if you actually didn’t need to wait 3 months? What if you could get started today and have your first payment in a week?
