Beachbody MLM Review 2024: Is It A Scam?

By: Brittney

Welcome to my Beachbody MLM Review Review. My goal is to help you understand what the program is all about, how much it costs, if it's a good use of your time, your money, and much more! It should be less than 10 minutes start to finish, so let's dive in!

Disclaimer:

This Beachbody MLM Review review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

Firstly, Why Am I Writing The Review?

Nice to meet you, my name is Brittney!

My story starts like many do… “slaving away” at a 9-5 job that I didn’t really enjoy, but hey – it paid the bills.

I worked for a large Fortune 500 company that performed background checks for other companies when they wanted to hire a new employee… so you know, not exactly exciting stuff.

For a lot of people, a nice stable job and predictable check coming in every month is the picture of success, but for me, it felt like I was missing out on life.

Clocking in every single day, doing the same tasks over and over again, getting home with barely enough time to make dinner and enjoy some time to myself… only to wake up again the next morning and do it all over again.

I just wanted to enjoy life without being shackled to an unfilling job.

I wanted to be able to take vacations whenever I wanted, for however long I wanted.

I didn’t want to have to beg my boss for a salary increase that barely matched inflation.

I just wanted to be free and happy.

Then about 4 years ago (as a stroke of luck), I stumbled across a program that taught me how to make money online by actually helping real people (local US businesses).

Who Cares About That?

99% of reviewers out there don’t have experience running an actual business. They’re writing about stuff that they have no real experience with.

Why would they do that?

They just want you to click through and buy the program that the review is about!

I have absolutely no relationship with J Rich, so you can rest easy knowing that I’m going to give you my honest opinion.

This review is written based on my own experiences with this business model.

All that being said, let’s jump into things.

Contents

It’s another of those make health and fitness MLM’s that encourages selling products and recruiting other people so you can make more money.

Beachbody is promoted everywhere by “coaches” who simply want you to join their downline. Yes, you read that correctly…

They want you to join so they can make money off your own efforts.

It is meant to teach you how to become a “six-figure network marketer,” however, most members don’t make enough promoting other people’s items.

That is the truth…

You will not become wealthy on a small $6 commission.

DISCLAIMER:
This Team Beachbody review has been thoroughly researched with information and testimonials that are available online to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

If you want to really get rich online, (at an average of $1,500 per sale PER MONTH), check out our #1 recommendation here.

And, while we must be fair in this review…

Beachbody does include some quite useful advice on earning money online and earning some sizable commission checks…

However, it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to say that the training is old and model outdated.

In the end, I’ll answer some of the most frequently asked questions regarding Beachbody and cheap network marketing in general.

And most importantly, I’ll show you the exact system I used to build my own internet marketing business to over $40,000 a month in mostly passive income.

This system made me swear off network marketing for good because it uses some of the same skills but in a much more powerful and profitable way!

But more on that later.

For now, let’s hop into all things about Beachbody!

Beachbody Company Overview

Beachbody is the industry leader in online fitness, with headquarters in Santa Monica, California.

If we’re honest, it’s perhaps the most suitable place for a “Beachbody” brand because it’s right next to muscle beach! What a fantastic selling point!

Beachbody currently employs over 1,000 individuals. When you include their MLM division (Team Beachbody), that figure jumps to an incredible 450k distributors or “Beachbody coaches”…which is just a fancy name for network marketing distributor.

They provide a variety of workout plans, and you’re almost sure to discover one that meets your fitness goals. Additionally, you’re likely to recognize some of their trainers…

Tony Horton invented P90X, Shaun T is famous for his Hip-Hop Abs, and the lovely Autumn Calabrese inspires fit moms worldwide!

There’s a good chance you’ve seen these individuals and their god-like physiques in newspapers and infomercials previously and were unaware!

Additionally, Beachbody MLM has its brand of nutritional supplements and meal replacement products.

Due to Beachbody’s widespread recognition and unmatched MLM network

They’ve routinely earned over a billion dollars per year!

Definitely solid numbers.

Customers wishing to improve their fitness levels can order DVDs of their favorite Beachbody fitness programs online.

If you’re ready to start your weight-loss journey and improve your fitness level, Beachbody has made it simple by delivering their fitness videos online!

When Did Beachbody Start And Who Owns It?

beach body mlm

Is that true?? Ever since 1998, Beachbody has been around all over! It’s been nearly a quarter-century.

Jon Congdon and Carl Daikeler are the two men that founded it; their names have undoubtedly appeared in the headlines a few times…

Beachbody began with the sale of a single product…

A stomach-tuck exercise that became a popular infomercial

Jon Congdon had one of those “aha!” moments when the data began to pour in.

They determined that rather than dealing with retail middlemen and associated hassles, they could direct their advertising directly to the consumer!

It’s worth mentioning, however, that Daikeler is not an avid exercise fan…

He would be the first to inform you of the situation.

He’d even argue that he’s unconcerned about what he eats and would rather not exercise at all.

However, don’t we all occasionally say the same thing?

We are all enamored with the outcomes that fitness can provide…

However, we can all agree that working out is tough!

After all of that…

Jon and Carl’s objective was to develop a method for marketing a workout program that would appeal to someone like themselves!

If they were able to accomplish that…they would be able to alter the course of millions of lives!

Full Review

I’m going to dive deep into everything Beachbody, including but not limited to their:

  • Workout Videos
  • Meal Replacement Shake (Shakeology)
  • MLM Starter Kit
  • Compensation Plan
  • Beachbody Coaches
  • Team Beachbody
  • Beachbody On Demand

What Is Team Beachbody?

is beachbody mlm

Beachbody’s multilevel marketing division, Team Beachbody, operates behind the scenes.

Not only do they want you to lose weight, but they also want to assist you in doing so while earning money!

They have all the methods and tools necessary to assist prospective fitness influencers in earning money by simply doing that!

Yes, here is where the MLM aspect comes into play; to earn money, you must sell their items and recruit others to do the same!

Due to its popularity, it appears as though you may earn a lot of money from it…

Nonetheless, is that the case?

Let us take a deeper look, shall we?

What Is A Beachbody Coach?

What Is The Definition Of A Beachbody Coach?

Contrary to popular belief, a Team Beachbody Coach is not what you believe.

No…you will not become one of those coaches or former beachbody coach that creates workout videos for individuals…

Rather than that, you will be in charge of selling Beachbody weight reduction goods.

If you look at their numbers, you’ll notice that in 2014, Team Beachbody’s revenues exceeded those of the actual corporation!

This was a significant shift in its business model — they had now entered full-fledged MLM territory.

After this occurred, it marked a sea change in their approach to the MLM side of the business.

Is it possible to blame them?

While Beachbody continues to earn a healthy profit from their first infomercials, there is little doubt that they now have a source of revenue that is even greater than their first.

Are Beachbody Workouts & Supplements Any Good?

beachbody multi level marketing

We considered listing all of their items… however, we both recognize that would be a poor use of our time.

Let me just say that they offer a wide variety of weight loss products.

Nonetheless, the following is a brief collection of Beachbody fitness videos and programs.

They include the following:

  • Turbo Jam (Top pick)
  • Shift Shop
  • Brazil Butt Lift
  • P90X (Classic)
  • 3 Week Yoga Retreat
  • Country Heat (hip hop abs but with country music)
  • 21 Day Fix
  • Clean Week
  • Hip-Hop Abs (Fan favorite)
  • 80 Day Obsession
  • And many more

Now, despite the popularity of their fitness products…

On the nutrition front, let’s show some love for Beachbody products:

  • Shakeology (best selling)
  • ActiVit Daily (Nutrition Advantage)
  • Ultimate Reset
  • Daily Sunshine (great for mornings)
  • 3 Day Refresh
  • Performance Line
  • And More!

Is Beachbody A MLM?

is beachbody a mlm

In a word, yes.

Protracted response:

It was not part of their original draft. Still, over time, it has proven to be a profitable financial option, outperforming the original Beachbody goal of relying solely on infomercials in 2014.

When Did Beachbody Become An MLM?

Team Beachbody MLM has existed for several years. Still, the company transitioned to a significant MLM model in 2014, when the revenue earned by distributors eclipsed the revenue provided by the original model.

Is Beachbody A Pyramid Scheme?

NOT AT ALL!

There is a critical distinction to be noted between an MLM and a plan of that nature.

In the latter, you earn money mostly through recruiting new members. Not through the sale of a product or service.

You earn money with the Beachbody MLM through selling things, not merely by recruiting new members.

Is Beachbody Network Marketing?

Yes.

There is no discernible difference between this and an MLM.

The wealthy are those at the top.

However, if you’re interested in a business strategy that allows people of all levels to earn good money, check out this internet business concept!

Beachbody Products

is beachbody a scam

There are numerous products available under the trademark. There is something for everyone!

Insanity Workout

This has become a brand staple. This is a strenuous workout that is not recommended for the faint of heart. It is referred to as lunacy for a reason!

Beachbody On Demand

It is a streaming service, according to Beachbody, that provides access to workout videos from their most popular fitness programs to date, including:

  • 21 Day Fix
  • Focus T25
  • P90X
  • 80 Day Obsession
  • And much more!

Not only will you have access to fitness videos with Beachbody On Demand…but you’ll also have access to dietary guidelines, calendars, and some Beachbody exclusives.

Meal Replacement Products

team beachbody coach review

They sell energy bars, whey protein, and smoothies.

They are, in our opinion, charging far too much for things that can be purchased at the shop for $20.

Consider whether we’re exaggerating.

A glance at their website reveals that their performance packs and challenge packs cost hundreds of dollars.

Their whey costs $70 and is not excessively large…

You may purchase a comparable item at the store for $20.

For the costs and the quality of the products, particularly the challenge pack…

In our perspective, it is simply not worth it.

Can You Make Money With Team Beachbody?

As with any other MLM, your earnings are contingent upon how much and what you sell. If you sell a challenge pack, you will earn a fee of 35%… Common goods will be discounted by 25%. If you sell a Beachbody On Demand membership, you make a whooping 40% commission! However, do not get too excited…this is a one-time commission per consumer.

Essentially, if all you sell is the occasional meal replacement shake, you won’t be making much money.

Beachbody coaches who go full-time also often do not survive long. Numerous coaches have resorted to the internet to share their own stories about their experiences with Team Beachbody.

Many of them are unfavorable.

While they have all said that a Beachbody coach can earn money…

Additionally, they have stated how tough it is to generate monthly money.

Indeed, the average monthly fee for all coaches is a mere $219!

That’s because once an MLM like Beachbody gains popularity, the majority of customers will forego the coach entirely and purchase online.

Alternatively, they may become a Beachbody coach and begin attempting to reach out to new clients like you.

Perhaps among the most significant disadvantages of the Beachbody MLM company, in general, is that once you’ve convinced your family and friends to purchase these products…difficult it’s to market these costly exercise DVDs to anyone else.

You can certainly make money with Multi-Level Marketing, but if you’re gonna put in the amount of grueling work to become an MLM IBO (which, trust me, isn’t easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money.

The program that helped skyrocket my online business to $40,000+ per month teaches some of the same MLM skills but shows you how to monetize them in a much, MUCH more profitable way.

Compensation Plan: How Does Team Beachbody Work?

beachbody coach reviews

Are you still considering a career as a Beachbody coach (distributor)?

Then you’ll want to review this compensation plan thoroughly…

The BB compensation model is binary, which means that you must have at least two separate legs of a downline generating to be paid.

This payment mechanism is quite comparable to the ones used by the other MLMs we’ve examined.

Regrettably, they are exceedingly difficult to comprehend…

It’s as if you need an MIT degree to get through the first page!

To earn commissions in the Beachbody MLM, you must have “Balanced Volume Points.”

Essentially, both of your downlines must be producing, or you will not qualify…

Consider the following scenario…

Once you have 200 points on your strong leg and 100 points on your weak leg, a cycle is complete, and you get a commission incentive of between $14 and $18.

It’s a shame that after all that effort, this is all you get…

That is sufficient…

We don’t want you to go into a deep depression…

Is Tony Horton No Longer Beachbody?

Tony Horton and his status as a Beachbody coach remain shrouded in uncertainty. He has stated on Facebook that he continues to support and be a part of the company… but has since moved on to seek new endeavors and engage with new enterprises.

Is Beachbody Worth The Money?

If your exercise options are confined to working out at home, we strongly recommend Beachbody and its goods.

However, it is entirely dependent on your objective.

Do you want to lose weight only or do you also want to build muscle?

Beachbody is unquestionably more cardio-based, which is why it is possible to lose weight…

However, if you wish to increase your muscular mass…

Then looking elsewhere may be more advantageous.

How Can I Improve My Health And Fitness?

One of the most effective strategies to improve your health is to exercise for a few minutes each day. Three days of strength training followed by three days of cardio and a rest day would be a fantastic start!

Our #1 Business Model In 2024!

Digital Leasing

Our review team has come across a program in the real estate industry that is next level!

Although it’s not real estate in the traditional sense, it’s all digital.

Yup, Digital Leasing!

Where Multi-Level Marketing falls short is in scalability.

There’s only so much time in a day and there’s only so many people you can reach to sell by yourself.

MLM companies know this! Which is why they push so hard for you to recruit for your downline…you can’t get rich with it as a one man/woman show.

But what if you could make even more money off of little local websites without having to spend hundreds of dollars on overpriced products and a bunch of time recruiting people to sell under you?

With this Digital Leasing program, you can make recurring monthly income without constant sales to your friends and constant recruitment!

Sound too good to be true? Of course it does! But it isn’t…in fact, business owners wish they had this skill!

All you have to do is build and rank a LOCAL website and forward the jobs off to a business owner in town, you could even email it to them!

This works for literally any service based business, tree service, plumbing, towing, etc.

How do you get paid and how much?

Simple, after you forward the jobs off to a business owner and he makes some money off of them, you simply ask to make the deal beneficial for each other.

A fair price to charge per lead, depending on the industry is 10-20%…let’s just use the tree service industry for example and go by worst case scenario.

Let’s say you build and rank the site and only 10 jobs a month come in. The average tree service job is anywhere from $500-$2000!

That means at bare minimum you have an asset worth $500 a month!

See why they call it Digital Leasing now? That’s a rent payment.

The great thing is how easy it is to scale. You don’t have to worry about:

  • Your upline getting paid before you
  • Begging your friends and family to buy from you
  • Recruiting people all the time

But as it is with Beachbody… You only get what’s left of the pie if you meet a monthly quota…

The course we recommend actually allows you to collect HUGE FLAT RATE DEALS. Truly passive income!

The training program takes making money online to a whole other level. The owner of the program walks you through how to build and rank a site hand in hand, with the occasional voice over when he is sharing his screen.

You will learn the importance of keywords, website name, how to send call notifications via email, backlinking, etc.

Once the training program is completed you will also have access to a Facebook group much better than the Beachbody group in our opinion. This group is much more active.

Unlike MLMs, where you’re getting maybe $10 per sale, you could be getting 10-20X THAT.

A business will always want more leads and another job. In fact it doesn’t even matter that the job isn’t coming from their website name…they see it as it is…expanding Digital Leasing.

Unlike Beachbody, more people have been able to walk away from their 9-5 job as well.

Digital Leasing allows you to have total passive income with most of your day being spent WITH your friends, NOT selling to them.

Now, I know you probably have tons of questions…

So, check this out to learn more.
